Living Square Boulders
Mile high square monoliths feted with hundreds of faux glass eyes and scaffolding bondages. Standing stolidly asunder like the pyramids, monuments to a greater- more intellectual insect. Try as best they may to reach the cool, luminous blue stars and rich velvety blackness of the nether ether. The weight of eight million worker ants binds them to the native terra from which they extend. With wry smiles and their soon to be ancient postures, their orangy brick, steel gray cement and chocolatey brownstone skins stretch ..... even if only tenths of nanometers a day. It brings them closer .... Unbeknownst to their occupants who instinctively pulse through their existence via the subcutaneous railway veins and yellow-black checkered drones. |
